Principal's Corner

Principal Dr. Rozier

New beginnings are extremely important for your child. This is the time to refine study habits, to begin broadening writing skills, sharpening and increasing independent reading ability. It is also when we plan for the future. Our goal is for your child to experience a fun and memorable middle school experience this Fall while completing a successful transition from summer.

Parents are our partners. I am looking forward to a partnership that will help ensure all of our students achieve their highest potential. Together we will make a great difference in your child’s education. As partners, our first goal must be to make sure that they attends school daily and arrives on time. The school day begins at 8:20am every day and breakfast is available daily at 8:00am in the school cafeteria. The Bronx Math Preparatory School staff has high expectations for your child’s learning and we ask for your commitment to having your child aspire to achieving 100% attendance. Attending school is our student’s first and most important job and by arriving each day on time, we are preparing our students for their futures. Following the dress code by wearing our school uniform is another step in their development and preparation for college and career. Our uniform consists of a purple, collared polo with pants/slacks in navy, black, or khaki.  I request all students wear slacks and not jeans.

Thank you for all you do to support your child’s school success and well-being. Your child is why we come to school each day! I am confident that through our working together they will have a wonderful, exciting school year.
